Birthday and visit from Canada
My 80th birthday celebrations have reminded me of the years that have passed since I was born … but also of something far deeper and more significant than just the passing of time.
The moral inspiration and life resource of those closest to me --- Family and friends that, in reality, have been the prime meaning and component of life fulfillment through the years.
First of all, my dear wife Mireille, who has been the foundation and main structure of daily life for over 36 years now … as well as a major source of the happiness, joy and inspiration that has supplied motivation and strength for every challenge life has thrown at us.
Parents are normally regarded responsible for seeing to the needs of their children …. My children have flipped this for me -- to them being the prime givers of meaningful life content to me. The pride I feel as I have the privilege of sharing in their daily lives is immeasurable… the finest part of each day that passes.
This past week, the extended family from my roots in Canada has so warmed and filled me with admiration and thankfulness for the DNA and so many values that we share.
Friends gathered along the way are also part of the miracle of life fulfillment. Their faces at the gatherings these last weeks made me so thankful for all the laughter and even tears we've shared together along the road.
Time and chance have been good to me!!s
